The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allen Onyema has called on Nigerians to rethink investing in South Africa amid recurring concerns over the treatment of Nigerians and other foreign nationals in the country.
Speaking on the issue, Onyema expressed frustration over what he described as the unfair blaming of Nigerians for some of South Africa's socio-economic challenges. He argued that repeated incidents targeting foreigners have created an environment that discourages business confidence and regional cooperation.
Rather than advocating retaliation or violence, the Air Peace boss encouraged Nigerians to adopt peaceful economic measures, including redirecting investments and business opportunities to countries and communities that promote inclusiveness and mutual respect.
Onyema also criticized South African authorities, alleging that they have not done enough to guarantee the safety and protection of foreign nationals residing and doing business within the country.
