Tamunosoye Karibi-George is a Nigerian beauty queen, communications professional, and advocate who recently made history by emerging as Miss World Nigeria 2026. Born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from the Kalabari-ijaw axis and representing Bayelsa State at the competition, the 26-year-old outshined 19 other finalists at the grand finale held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, under the theme “Pride, Power, and Purpose.”
Before winning the national crown, Tamunosoye had already built an impressive reputation in the pageantry world, including winning the Miss Africa International title in 2024. She is also the founder of “Beyond Labels,” an advocacy initiative dedicated to promoting inclusion, dignity, education, and empowerment for children with special needs.
Her victory has been celebrated across the Niger Delta, particularly among the Ijaw people, as she joins a growing list of distinguished sons and daughters of the region making Nigeria proud on the global stage.
