Okonkwo, who had earlier alleged that Peter Obi and some NDC leaders collected ₦10 million from House of Representatives aspirants and ₦20 million from Senate aspirants, said he was making public the alleged evidence after Obi threatened legal action over the claims. �

According to Okonkwo, an NDC House of Representatives aspirant from Anambra State, identified as Obunike Ohaegbu, sent him messages and a payment receipt which he says form the basis of his allegations. �

However, Obi has strongly denied the allegations through his legal team, describing them as false, malicious, and defamatory. The former Anambra governor has demanded a public retraction, apology, and ₦5 billion in damages from Okonkwo. �
