Chief Kome Okpobor Commends Oborevwori Over Electricity Projects in Isoko Communities
The Executive Director of Finance and Administration at DESOPADEC, Chief Kome Oghenekome Reginald Okpobor, has praised Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for approving key electricity infrastructure projects aimed at improving power supply across Isoko Nation.
Okpobor described the governor's intervention as a major step toward addressing years of electricity challenges affecting residents, businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs in several Isoko communities.
His commendation comes following the commencement of procurement processes for the construction of a 33KV High Voltage Line from Emevor through Otor Owhe to Isoko Roundabout, alongside the rehabilitation of vandalized sections of the existing power line between Iyede and Ellu in Isoko North Local Government Area.
According to Okpobor, reliable electricity remains a critical driver of economic growth, job creation, investment, and improved living standards.
He noted that the projects will not only restore power to affected communities but also create opportunities for local businesses to thrive, strengthen security, and support sustainable development across the region.
"This intervention goes beyond restoring electricity. It is about creating opportunities, stimulating economic activities, and improving the future of our people," he stated.
The DESOPADEC Executive Director further said the projects align with the Oborevwori administration's M.O.R.E Agenda, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development and economic advancement.
Okpobor added that the governor has continued to demonstrate a commitment to inclusive development by ensuring that communities across Delta State benefit from government projects.
He urged residents of Isoko Nation to continue supporting the administration, expressing confidence that the ongoing investments in critical infrastructure will deliver lasting benefits to the people.
He also reaffirmed his support for the governor's development vision, describing the electricity projects as a significant milestone that could usher in a new phase of economic growth and progress across Isoko communities.
