AAC Flag Bearer Emmanuel Henry Visits Nigerian Welders Union, Receives Support for Take It Back Agenda

The African Action Congress (AAC) flag bearer for Isoko South Constituency II, Hon. Emmanuel Henry, has continued his grassroots engagement with workers and professional groups across the constituency as part of efforts to build support for his people-centered legislative agenda.

During a visit to the Isoko South Unit of the Nation Union of Nigerian Welders in the Oil and Gas Sector, Hon. Emmanuel Henry met with members of the association to discuss the challenges facing skilled workers, artisans, and field labourers in the industry.

Addressing the gathering, the AAC candidate assured the welders that if elected into the Delta State House of Assembly, he would advocate for laws and policies aimed at improving the welfare of workers, promoting fair remuneration, protecting labour rights, and creating opportunities for skilled professionals in the oil and gas sector.

Hon. Emmanuel Henry emphasized the importance of recognizing the contribution of artisans and technical workers to the economic development of Delta State and Nigeria. He pledged to champion legislation that would favor field labourers, strengthen workplace protections, and encourage the participation of local professionals in economic opportunities within the state.

Members of the welders' union welcomed the AAC candidate and expressed appreciation for his engagement with workers at the grassroots level. The meeting provided an opportunity for union members to share their concerns regarding wages, employment opportunities, workplace conditions, and the future of skilled labour in the region.

According to participants, many members voiced support for Hon. Emmanuel Henry's vision and commitment to workers' welfare. The gathering concluded with chants of "Take It Back," reflecting support among attendees for the AAC's message of accountability, social justice, and people-oriented governance.

Hon. Emmanuel Henry reaffirmed his commitment to remaining accessible to constituents and working alongside workers, artisans, youths, and community stakeholders to build a more prosperous future for Isoko South Constituency II.

The AAC candidate noted that meaningful development can only be achieved when the voices of ordinary workers are represented in government and translated into policies that improve lives and strengthen local communities.
