Delta State AAC Governorship Candidate Eshor Pledges Economic Diversification, Job Creation, Social Welfare

The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in Delta State, Eshor Eghweree, has outlined a vision centered on economic diversification, job creation, and expanded social welfare programs as part of his agenda for the state.

Speaking on his plans for Delta State, Eshor emphasized the need to reduce dependence on federal allocations and oil revenues by developing key sectors of the economy, including agriculture, manufacturing, technology, tourism, and small-scale industries.

According to the AAC candidate, Delta State possesses enormous economic potential that remains underutilized despite its abundant natural and human resources. He argued that strategic investments in productive sectors could generate sustainable employment opportunities, particularly for young people.

Eshor also highlighted job creation as a central pillar of his proposed administration, promising policies aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, attracting investment, improving the business environment, and expanding access to skills development programs.

On social welfare, the AAC candidate pledged to prioritize policies designed to improve the living conditions of vulnerable citizens through targeted interventions in healthcare, education, housing, and social support programs.

He further stressed the importance of transparency, accountability, and prudent management of public resources, arguing that effective governance is essential for achieving meaningful development across the state's communities.

The candidate maintained that Delta State can become an economic hub capable of creating opportunities for its growing population if government policies focus on productivity, innovation, and inclusive growth.

As political activities continue ahead of future elections, Eshor's proposals are expected to contribute to ongoing discussions about economic development, employment, and governance in Delta State.

Supporters of the AAC say the party's agenda is focused on empowering citizens and strengthening local economic capacity, while voters will ultimately decide which vision they believe offers the best path forward for the state.

Economic diversification, job creation, and social welfare remain among the key issues likely to shape political debates in Delta State in the coming years.
