Sowore Vows Immediate Action on Electricity, Security, and Economic Reforms from Day One in Office

Human rights activist and leader of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has reiterated his commitment to implementing far-reaching reforms from his very first day in office if elected President of Nigeria.

Speaking on his vision for the country, Sowore maintained that Nigeria possesses the human and natural resources needed to overcome its longstanding challenges but has been held back by poor leadership, corruption, and a lack of political will.

According to him, one of his top priorities would be addressing the nation's persistent electricity crisis. Sowore argues that reliable power supply is fundamental to industrial growth, job creation, economic development, and improved living standards. He has consistently advocated for reforms aimed at expanding electricity generation and distribution across the country.

The AAC leader also emphasized the need for urgent action to tackle insecurity, including kidnapping, banditry, terrorism, and violent crime. He stated that protecting lives and property must be a central responsibility of government and pledged to pursue policies aimed at strengthening security institutions and restoring public confidence.

Beyond electricity and security, Sowore said his administration would focus on economic justice, youth employment, quality education, healthcare, and transparency in government. He argues that public resources should be used to improve the welfare of ordinary Nigerians rather than benefiting a privileged few.

Supporters of the Take It Back Movement believe that the country's challenges require bold reforms and a government willing to place the interests of citizens above political considerations. They contend that Nigeria can achieve significant progress if leadership is driven by accountability, competence, and a commitment to public service.

Sowore has repeatedly stated that meaningful change cannot be delayed and insists that decisive action must begin immediately upon assuming office. According to him, the goal is to build a Nigeria where citizens have access to electricity, security, jobs, education, healthcare, and equal opportunities for advancement.

As political discussions continue ahead of future elections, Sowore's message remains centered on rapid reform, accountability, and the transformation of institutions to serve the interests of the Nigerian people.
